This major Saint-Estèphe Second Growth has been producing the white Cos d’Estournel since the 2005 vintage. This concentrated wine is grown from some of the oldest vines in the Médoc, where the Sauvignon Blanc variety has been grafted onto very old Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Located near the Gironde estuary, Cos d’Estournel is also the most northerly of the white wine producing Médoc vineyards, which ensures excellent freshness even in very hot and sunny years like 2015. This very aromatic vintage is rich on the palate with good tension on the finish. Just over 500 cases were produced.
2006 Blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot
